Mufthie Rizvi Among 500 Most Influential Muslims Globally



M.I.M Rizvi Mufthie, head of the All Ceylon Jamiyathul Ulama (ACJU) has been selected among the 500 most influential Muslims worldwide.



The evaluation is done annually by the Royal Islamic Strategy Study Centre Based in Amman Jordan.

This is the first time that a Sri Lankan Muslim has achieved this honor.

The ACJU headed by Mufthi Rizvi plays an active role as the Islamic Religious Authority with 3000 active members under its 22 districts and 15 divisional branches.

The ACJU has recently established a Halal Certification Authority in Sri Lanka and publishes a quarterly magazine which lists the halal certified organizations and products,

Mufthi Rizvi is a pioneering scholar in the field of Islamic banking and finance. He is also a member of the Shariah Advisory council for a number of Islamic Financial Institutions in Sri Lanka.
